LUSD invests in the community of Lindsay through its most precious product, its graduates. Lindsay graduates, seeking to return to Lindsay to teach, receive all levels of support to ensure college graduation and a return to the community to serve in the same learning communities they once attended.
The EMPOWER Lindsay grant provides financial support, training, and development for qualified applicants to continue their college and career path with a commitment to teach and serve in Lindsay schools.

Since 2018, LUSD has been implementing an innovative educator recruitment pipeline that has proven particularly effective for first-generation high-school graduates and first-generation college students.
